Guest Speaker - Belinda Collihole, Lifeline

Belinda Collihole works with Lifeline Ballarat where she trains new volunteers to become Crisis Supporters who take calls on Lifeline’s 13 11 14 Crisis Support number.  

Belinda is herself an experienced Crisis Supporter having originally commenced with Lifeline Ballarat as a volunteer in 2011.  Belinda soon became incredibly passionate about this vital role at Lifeline and developed a keen desire to support upcoming volunteers in their learnings and journeys toward becoming crisis supporters.  She has trained volunteers at Lifeline Ballarat since 2016.  

Beyond training these amazing volunteers, Belinda also trains members of the local community on how to become more suicide aware and how to have safe and meaningful conversations with people who may be considering suicide or experiencing a mental health crisis.  She also trains groups in the area of Domestic and Family Violence awareness and prevention.
