Guest Speaker - Captain Ashley McDonald

Our Guest Speaker next Tuesday is Captain Ashley McDonald, described by his peers as a dynamic and engaging leader with a proven ability to lead organisations and deliver efficiency and risk reduction. Having started his career as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy, Ashley went on to serve as Captain of a ship engaged in hope and restoration to communities in need across the world. After 7 yrs sailing the world with his family and 350 other international volunteer crew, Ashley worked in a number of Australian Ports including Marine Pilotage, Operations Management and Harbour Master roles.

Ashley has served as a Chairman and Director for Not for Profits and is passionately interested in helping people and organisations achieve excellence. He has also established and directs a growing private health practice in Australia. Ashley is presently Head of Operations for New Zealand’s primary Oil and Gas Port, Taranaki, New Plymouth, where he leads all landside and Marine Operations as a member of the executive team.
