Graeme commenced his long and varied media career at 3BO Radio. He went on to write, read and present news and music programs on many radio stations, as well as holding the position of Chief of Staff at the Bendigo Advertiser managing the change from hot metal printing to computer type-setting.

Join us at our meeting on Tuesday 16 March at 1pm at the Bendigo Club, to hear from Guest Speaker, Graeme Turpie.
Graeme was born and educated in Bendigo at Violet Street State School and Bendigo High School. He quit school midway through Matriculation year to join Radio 3BO as a panel operator and a transcription clerk in the record library, logging in and out of the station the large disc recordings containing episodes of radio serials and quiz shows. Asked to help in the newsroom, gathering, reporting g and writing local news, working with well-known journalist/editor Dave Horsfall, and found that far more rewarding than playing records. it stated a career in journalism which continues to this day.
