About the Event
My name is Rajendra Gautam. I am the Founder and President of Solidarity Nepal, an entirely non-profitable and special welfare organisation which aims to establish and implement sustainable education, health, vocational skills, community development and disaster response programs in rural areas of Nepal. Soilidarity's mission is to achieve grassroots reforms in education, poverty levels, health and sanitation, the empowerment of women and support various youth clubs. It also runs the life skills training for girls, women and youths. The training delivered so far has been cutting and stitching, driving, beautician work, shoe making, electrician work, plumbing, animal husbandry and basic computer skills for administration.
I have a Master's degree in Social Work (MSE) from Tribhuban University, Kathmandu. I am a Youth Social Worker and Past President of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu and Service Project Directory of Rotaract Club of Kathamndu and Service Project Director of Rotary Club of Kathmandu, the first Rotary Club of Nepal. I have reconstructed 20 schools destroyed by Nepal earthquake 2015 and provided educational scholarships to more than 1000 vulnerable children a year in Nepal benefiting 10,000 plus children to date. Similarily I am also dedicatedly working on several projects for communal peace, rural development, sustainable development and to combat hunger.
I am passionate about developing possible service projects and to join the network of volunteers working locally, regionally and internationally to attain humanitarian goals. I have received dozens of national and international awards including Peace Hero 2019 by Peace Museum Colorado and have also participated in dozens of programs, conferences, training and seminars both in and outside the country.
I look forward to visiting your organisation to learn about how you assist the community and take those ideas back to help the people I work with in Nepal.
