Guest Speaker - Roxanne Lyon and Steph Evans

Roxanne Lyon and Steph Evans are with the Caregiver Services team within the Home Based Care (Foster Care) program at Anglicare Victoria in Bendigo.

Currently Victoria is experiencing a state wide foster care crisis, with a significant shortage of foster carers, particularly those who are able to support long term placements for children of all ages needing care.

Our team is aiming to raise awareness and generate conversations within the local community about the urgent need for foster carers in our region and state wide. We will be sharing statistics on our current needs and availability, as well as information about what role a foster carer plays and how to become a foster carer with our agency.

Even if you are unable to foster yourselves, the session will provide community minded people with the information needed to be able to spread the word and awareness for the need within their networks.
