A couple of years ago, our Club supported 3 young Karen boys from Bendigo Senior Secondary College who were selected to attend the National Futsal Championships. Their families were not in a position to send them and our Club donated $4200 to allow them to go. To say their families were appreciative was an understatement, we were told there were tears involved when the school advised their parents of our Club's support.
Another great example of Rotary changing lives by supporting some of our newer refugee families here in Bendigo.
